What is medblue?
We are a Discount Plan Organization licensed by the Office of Insurance Regulation. We secure big discounts with doctors and hospitals and offer those discounts directly to you, your employees, and dependents.
How much does small business health insurance cost?
An average eHealth small business plan covers 5 people and costs $1432 per month in premiums – or $286 per person.
Are businesses required to purchase health insurance for their employees?
Under the Affordable Care Act (also known as “Obamacare”), businesses with fewer than 50 full-time-equivalent employees are not required to provide health insurance to their employees and will not face tax penalties for not doing so.
Under medblue, what is the cost of an employee coverage?
$49 per month.  If you pre-pay 12 months, the price is reduced to $40 per month.
Is my business required to pay the employee’s medblue monthly premium?
No, you may contribute as much or as little as you would like.
What is the average price to see a primary care doctor without health insurance vs. medblue?
A regular routine appointment with a primary care doctor, without any other tests involved, can cost anywhere from $150 to $300 without insurance. With medblue, that same visit costs $40.
